I have been a Ham for almost 40 years, first licensed in 1966 as a boy of 15.  My callsigns have been WN5PIE (1966), WA5PIE (1967), DA1WU (1979), DA2ES (1986), and W5PIE (2001).  My parents encouraged interest in radio early recognizing it as being valuable for career development in electronics.
