Dovie and I have shared our home with a few select felines over the years.  Actually, the felines share their home with us.  We feel that two cats at a time is just right!  A couple of best friends are a delight to watch as they entertain each other and their pet humans.

On May 25, 1999, our first pair of girls, Poppy and Tiny, went to kitty heaven after over 18 years of co-habitation with us.  Both were strictly housecats.  If they ever "escaped" the house, neither one would know what to do or where to go.  They were truly International Cats....they both went to Germany for 3 years while I was assigned there during my Army career.  Dovie and I loved them very much.  We will miss them.

In June, 1999, we adopted Patches and Tiger together from the animal shelter.   They both begged to be taken home.  I admit my decision to keep them was due to their resemblance to Poppy and Tiny.  These cats became instant best friends.   They obviously regard each other as best friends.
